CAMPAIGN OVERVIEW
On 28 February we once again celebrate International Rare Disease Day. This year we want to flip the script and tell positive stories of miracles, rare feats, rare facts, rare places and rare people. In every story there is a silver lining.
In the weeks leading up to the day, we’ll be inviting South Africans to “share their rare” on social media and we need you to help us spread the word. Here is how…

ROLL OUT
Step 1
Get going and pique the interest of your followers by changing your profile picture/s on your social media pages to the “R” symbol. We’d like to encourage you to keep this on your page until 28 February - International Rare Disease Day.
Step 2
Create a post in which you #ShareYourRare and then challenge your bestie, brother, grandma, child or mentor to get involved and share their positive, inspiring story, about why they are rare – maybe your 80 year old granny can do a cartwheel or your BFF can solve a Rubiks cube in under a minute?
Step 3
Let’s keep the momentum going. Use our statement banners and other media assets (join us and get yours free) to increase engagement. What's most important is that we challenge our communities to get involved to share their rare. The more we post the more people will get involved. Make it fun and light and be the voice of rareness in SA!
