Everything you need to know
LET’S TAKE ACTION
We are so excited to get #ShareYourRare going! With your support, you’ll enable Rare Diseases South Africa NPC to continue advocating for those impacted by rare diseases and provide care to the millions who remain undiagnosed.
Share your rare, post your stories, invite friends, family and co-workers to join our campaign and help us to empower people living with rare diseases.
On 28 February we once again celebrate International Rare Disease Day. Throughout 2022, we want to flip the script and tell positive stories of miracles, rare feats, rare facts, rare places and rare people. In every story there is a silver lining.
In the weeks leading up to the day, and throughout 2022, we’ll be inviting South Africans to “share their rare” on social media and we need you to help us spread the word. Here is how…
FIRST GET INVOLVED
We are looking for corporate partners to get involved by sharing what is uniquely rare about your business, or running the campaign internally or partnering with Rare Diseases SA to support the work we do.
Sign up now and receive the FREE Rare Aware Toolkit with all the goodies you need make your campaign pop. Learn more, join us!
Get going and pique the interest of your followers by changing your profile picture/s on your social media pages to the "R" symbol or add a frame. We'd like to encourage you to keep this on your page until 28 February - International Rare Disease Day.
Create a post in which you #ShareYourRare and then challenge your bestie, brother, grandma, child or mentor to get involved and share their positive, inspiring story about why they are rare - maybe your 80-year-old granny can do a cartwheel or your BFF can solve a rubiks cube in a minute?
Let's keep the momentum going. Use our social media collateral to increase engagement. What's most important is that you challenge your communities to get involved to share their rare. The more we post the more people will get involved. Make it fun and light and be the voice of rareness in SA!
